First Financial Credit - Williamsburg is Hiring a Branch Manager Near Williamsburg, KY

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

  • Implement, drive and monitor the solicitation practices in the office in regards to all loan types.
  • Set Branch goals and communicate them to the staff via weekly branch staff meetings.
  • Motivate and train all branch staff; leading by positive and professional example.
  • Develop action plans for business development in all lending areas - direct, sales finance and real estate (if licensed).
  • Telephone and field-call delinquent accounts with a major emphasis on those accounts more than 30 days past due.
  • Develop and maintain good dealer relationships.
  • Source new dealers.
  • Oversee and operate all of the collection activities within the office.
  • Make the final credit decision for all loans within their credit limit.
  • Distribute lending authority to all qualified staff members and monitor their decisions.
  • Know and adhere to all policies in the First Financial Credit Operations Manual, as well as all governing local, state and federal regulations and laws - and be responsible to monitor all employees to make sure they are also in compliance.
  • Report office results on a daily basis to the District Supervisor.
  • Review all loans made each day for compliance.
  • Meet and greet each customer closing his or her loan - the manager should close most of the loans made in the branch.
  • Be able to effectively perform any and all office duties under the direct chain of command to include Assistant Branch Manager, Customer Service Representative, and Lending and Collection Specialist.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing and making hiring recommendations; employee coaching, training and appraising performance; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding performance or recommending disciplinary action as appropriate; and, addressing complaints and resolving problems that may arise. This position provides directional oversight to the following positions:

  • Assistant Branch Manager
  • Customer Service Representative
  • Lending and Collection Specialist

  • Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
  • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Ability to manage time and be efficient and effective in the completion of assignments.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar including the ability to comprehend written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

  • Knowledge of arithmetic and their applications specific to the position.

Other Requirements

  • May be required to attend activities outside the office to stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
  • Pursuant to the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988, all employees must remain drug free and alcohol free when reporting to work and while engaged in any work related activities.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules that may include early/late or weekend working hours.
