First Presbyterian Church (FPC) is a 100-year-old church and a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA). FPC is a warm and welcoming congregation, has an active membership of people of all ages, and holds services each Sunday at 8:30am and 11am.

Position: Nursery Worker

Purpose: The Nursery at FPC is a lively and bustling place each Sunday morning. Our Nursery Workers lovingly welcome in children and their parents, help them feel at home, and make sure our youngest children are well cared for while their parents participate in Sunday School or worship. The primary purpose is to provide for the health and safety of all children in the nursery. All nursery personnel will have a mandatory background check during the hiring process and periodic background checks after hiring.

Accountability: Nursery Workers are supervised by the Nursery Coordinator and the
Pastor.

Position is hourly, primarily on Sunday mornings between 8am and 12:30pm each week. There are occasional evening worship services or additional events as well.
Hourly rate begins at $14 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Arrive at least 15 minutes before the opening of the nursery.
• Welcome children and parents to the nursery, and assist with necessary check-in and check-out procedures to ensure the safety of all children.
• Create a loving and hospitable environment for all children and parents who interact with the nursery.
• Check and change diapers and underwear when necessary.
• Change crib sheets after each use, and gather for laundering.
• Leave nursery neat (toys picked up, etc.).
• Assist children with snacks and drinks.
• Notify the Nursery Coordinator two weeks in advance of planned absences.
