Summary
First Presbyterian's SPARK program is looking for Teachers and Assistant Teachers for immediate hire. This position will be full time through July and on school breaks, part-time during the school year.
GENERAL SUMMARY
The SPARK program is a state-licensed, 5-star, school-age childcare program serving families in the OKC metro. The SPARK Director is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and quality of care for children enrolled in the program. Teachers are responsible for groups of 10-20 school age children, including supervising students indoors and outdoors, planning and implementing/teaching lessons and activities, cleaning, record keeping, participating in training opportunities.
Duties
·Promotes learning opportunities that provide for growth, fun, and development of social skills;
·Keeps program rooms in order before and following activities;
·Assists in serving and cleaning up after snacks and/or lunch;
·Participates in teaching students and in activities of students;
·Assists in getting supplies and equipment ready for children's activities;
·Helps with clean-up chores following end of day's activities;
·Participates in all activities for SPARK children;
·Performs any other duties the Director may require for the benefit of SPARKPrograms;
·Plans particular activities agreed upon with Director;
Requirements
Must be 18
Must have HS Diploma or GED
Must have or obtain CPR Certification
Must pass fingerprint background check
