They are currently seeking a Planning Engineer to join one of our recently launched ventures—a software platform revolutionizing inventory planning. Our mission is to solve the complex challenge of aligning demand forecasts with supply and inventory, especially in dynamic forecasting environments. They are proud of their initial accomplishments, including the successful launch of our product, acquisition of our first cohort of paying customers, and expansion of our engineering team. Our product's development momentum is rapidly increasing, and we are just beginning our journey.
What You’ll Do
As their inaugural Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing the core planning models. Your role will involve creating new models for functional modules and abstracting existing models into more adaptable, universal patterns. Additionally, you will oversee the training for our AI co-pilot.
What You’ll Need
Planning Experience - Hands-on involvement in a core planning function (such as forecasting, analytics, data science, S&OP, inventory management, or supply chain) where you gained a deep understanding of modeling business processes.
Back-End Engineering Experience (Full Stack preferred) - Minimum of 5 years of experience with enterprise application architecture, design, and development, including third-party integrations, using modern languages, frameworks, and tools. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and JavaScript is required.
Data & Integrations - Experience with data-intensive platforms, including architecting data ingestion processes, integrating with platforms like Netsuite, Shopify, and Quickbooks, and making strategic decisions regarding cloud architecture.
Product Management - Ability to think like a product manager, collaborating closely with the Product team to align with business goals and drive project outcomes in a fast-paced, iterative product development environment.
Zero-to-One Mindset - Comfortable with ambiguity and experienced in building new products from the ground up, ideally in an agile and lean early-stage startup environment.
Passion for Problem-Solving - Proactive attitude toward solving complex problems, with the ability to adapt and overcome obstacles independently and efficiently.
