Address: 16430 Park Ten Place, Houston, Texas 77084 Role: Coordinate the activities of the hiring needs in the organization including the onboard/offboard program, supporting the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) along with communication of the ATS. Administration assistance of employee programs such as payroll, benefits, 401k, Leaves of Absence and unemployment. Aid the the department with new and current staff in all areas to include working with the outsourcing company PEO, human resource duties and event style functions, including, but not limited to: running NEO Express, hosting Orientation overview and internal and external career fair participation. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Performance Measurements: 1. To uphold and encourage the First Service culture which includes the First Service Compass, quality standards, traits, and behaviors. 2. To maintain a professional work environment and business like appearance. 3. To provide timely, accurate, professional and confidential presence for recruiting and payroll and other functions within the HR Department. 4. To meet required deadlines of projects, HR functions and responsibilities. 5. To keep manager informed regarding key operating issues affecting the department. Knowledge and Skills: Experience - One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education - (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree). Interpersonal Skills - Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Other Skills - Excellent organizational skills; proficient with spreadsheets; must be able to multi-task. Proficient in oral and written communications. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook. Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times. Willingness to attend training seminars and meetings outside normal working hours. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to: --position self to move about the work area --reach, grab, sort --communicate in person and via telephone with orders --ability to transport a minimum of 10 pounds
