Responsibilities - CNC Machinist / Programmer:
  • Planning and building a variety of components to be used in the mold tool design with tight tolerance machining
  • Read and use internal common approach documentation and template files for best process on record
  • Use NX CAD/CAM software suite provided to program cutter paths for various CNC equipment
  • Read and interpret blue prints and maintain accuracy of /- 0.001' when required
  • Input on Tooling Design towards manufacturing feasibility with Engineering Staff
  • Receive and delegate tasks to/from Machinists and EDM staff tasks to meet the requirements of the tool
  • Analyze Blue light Inspection reports with Engineering to fulfill the requirements of the tool
  • Help direct the build of the tooling to meet the customer's due date
  • Follow common safety procedures and good house keeping
  • Continuous Improvement Input
Qualifications/Requirements – CNC Machinist / Programmer:
  • 1 year of experience creating 3d Tool Paths at a high degree of precision required; 3 – 5 years preferred
  • 1 year of experience using common professional CAD/CAM suites such as NX, CATIA, AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc. required; 3 – 5 years preferred
  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
  • Basic Math Skills and ability to read design prints
  • Ability to use common CNC control systems such as Fadal, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, Makino, etc
  • Setup of CNC tools and to be machined blocks
  • Common computer experience outside of CAD/CAM like Microsoft office products
  • Common Tool Room Equipment Experience: Knee Mills, Bed Mills, Lathes, Grinders, Drill press etc.
  • Common Measurement Tools Experience: Calipers, Indicators, Depth Mics etc.
  • Siemens NX Experience
  • Good Communication Skills to coordinate with others
  • Above average computer skills
  • Strong Time Management and an independent work mindset
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude and Accuracy
