Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide essential care and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily activities, personal hygiene, and health monitoring in various healthcare settings. Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle that is insured is required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status to the appropriate medical personnel
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is preferred
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare practices
- Ability to work effectively in various healthcare settings such as clinics, emergency medicine, or inpatient facilities
- Strong communication skills and empathy towards clients
- Willingness to assist with geriatric care, medical-surgical procedures, and outpatient services
This position offers valuable experience working in diverse healthcare environments like Level I Trauma Centers, Teaching Hospitals, Operating Rooms (OR), and outpatient clinics.
