Job Description
firstPro is seeking an experience full cycle Accounts payable specialist to join a great team in the Duluth area. This position works on a temp to hire basis and pays 29/hr. Please apply if you feel you meet the qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices for payment, verifying accuracy against purchase orders, receiving reports, and contracts.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, communicating effectively with vendors to reach solutions.
- Code non-PO invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Enter and maintain vendor information in the accounting system.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors according to company payment terms and schedules.
- Reconcile vendor statements monthly, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage and track outstanding payables.
- Respond promptly to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Stay up-to-date on internal policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
- Assist with the implementation and improvement of accounts payable processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in full cycle Accounts Payable
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounts payable software (MS Dynamics Preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
