Our client, an established distribution company in Hatfield, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, managing month-end close procedures, and performing various general accounting tasks. Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage and oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and collections to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
• Payroll Processing: Administer payroll functions to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Month-End Close: Execute month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• General Ledger Accounting: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist with audits as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of general ledger accounting experience.
• Software Skills: Proficiency with Sage 100 software is preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and data management.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
