firstPRO Inc. is Hiring a Collections Specialist (Part Time Hours) Near Cherry Hill, NJ

Job Summary: The Part-Time Collections Clerk will be responsible for managing the collections process for our B2B clients. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a knack for building relationships with customers to ensure timely payments. The successful candidate will also assist with accounts receivable (AR) functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the collections process for B2B accounts, ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to follow up on overdue payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collections activities, including communications and payment statuses.
  • Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Prepare and distribute regular aging reports to management.
  • Assist with AR functions such as invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliations as needed.
  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to address and resolve any billing issues.
  • Monitor customer accounts to identify potential risks and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in B2B collections, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
