firstPRO is seeking an experienced Director of Business Analytics to join our client’s team in the Burlington, NJ area. The ideal candidate will be a strategic advocate for the importance of data and analytics, fostering a culture that values and leverages data-driven insights across all departments. This role will serve as the primary resource for ecommerce and marketing analytics, working closely with data engineering teams to ensure seamless data flow and implementing a comprehensive reporting framework. This is a direct hire opportunity and has a hybrid work model which requires 3 days onsite.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for the strategic importance of data and analytics, fostering a culture that values and leverages data-driven insights across all departments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics into daily operations and decision-making processes.
• Serve as the go-to expert for ecommerce and marketing analytics, providing actionable insights to optimize performance and drive business growth.
• Develop and implement analytics strategies that align with organizational goals, driving measurable improvements in ecommerce and marketing effectiveness.
• Work closely with data engineering teams to prioritize and define requirements for data-related work, datasets, and modeling.
• Ensure a seamless flow of data from source to analysis, addressing any bottlenecks or challenges in the data pipeline.
• Design and implement a comprehensive framework for reporting and metrics across the organization, focusing on high-level channel performance.
• Standardize reporting processes to ensure consistency and accuracy in data-driven decision-making.
• Develop a strategic roadmap for the growth of the analytical organization, outlining key milestones, resource requirements, and skill development initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience (15 years) in ecommerce analytics, with a focus on industrial automation products.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in ecommerce and marketing analytics, with a track record of driving business impact.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in at least one data manipulation language, such as SQL or Python.
• Experience with BI data tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Deep understanding of business performance drivers and business P&L.
• Knowledge of marketing attribution models, including first-touch, last-touch, and data-driven models.
• Expertise in data engineering processes and requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of industry best practices in KPIs and reporting processes.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute long-term analytical roadmaps.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace, with the ability to tell a comprehensive story using data.
