A firstPRO client in the healthcare and insurance space is seeking a temporary Senior Accountant to support their team for 3 months. The ideal candidate will come from the healthcare or insurance industry. Candidates with strong GAAP accounting encouraged to apply as well.
While this is fully remote, candidates seeking to apply MUST live in PA,NJ, or DE.
Position Overview:
- Oversee and manage accounting department reporting functions.
- Prepare financial statements.
- Act as the main finance liaison with IT to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting data and systems.
- Apply expertise in the revenue cycle and medical expense calculations to improve financial reporting capabilities.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal partners, offering technical expertise and insights into financial applications for reporting purposes.
- Represent the finance team in meetings, conducting financial analysis and research to support various reporting needs.
- Work with internal departments like Audit, Actuary, and Claims, and provide necessary documentation.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 5 years’ experience in the health insurance industry desired
