Job Description

About the role:

Mutual Fund Trader Overview

Responsible for executing and settling mutual fund trades through a variety of methods. Trades may be placed via automated transmission, faxed, phoned or wired directly to fund companies. Attention to detail is essential to ensure that trades are executed and settled properly at the correct price. Time critical deadlines must be met to avoid market exposure and potential losses. Must be pro-active and able to anticipate issues avoiding risk. Must be able to meet department and market time sensitive deadlines while monitoring and clearing internal suspense accounts. Candidates should possess good analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to handle shifting workloads and priorities, possess excellent customer service skills; Microsoft Access & Excel skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

What you will be doing:

Analyze and interpret a wide variety of transactions and be conscious of impact to clients and risk to company.

● Process a variety of securities and cash related transactions with minimal assistance.

● Identify, research and resolve problems, and take necessary actions to balance differences within Trust Support Services Systems and Accounts.

● Contact clients when necessary.

● Review and verify data input and output.

● Research special items and complete special projects as needed.

● Retrieve and utilize information from trust system and other data sources.

● Other duties as assigned.

Proficient in the use of basic office equipment and tools as well as applications specific to trust systems/processesRequires strong problem-solving, time management, organizational and data entry skillsRequires attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and adjust schedules to meet deadlinesAbility to work in an organized mannerAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingTeam skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
