OverviewJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Director of Engineering Engagement and Enablement to join the Office of the CTO. This role is pivotal in shaping the culture and operational efficiency within our engineering teams. The ideal candidate will act as a change agent, driving initiatives that enhance the skills, engagement, and productivity of our technical staff through strategic communication, effective knowledge management, and the implementation of best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Change Management, Culture, and Communication~ Lead change management initiatives to enhance organizational culture. Develop and implement communication strategies that foster transparency and collaboration across engineering teams
  • Tech Events Management~ Organize and oversee tech events such as hackathons and tech talks, aimed at promoting innovation and continuous learning
  • Knowledge Management~ Establish systems and processes to ensure the effective sharing of technical knowledge and best practices across the organization
  • Communities of Practice~ Spearhead the development and support of communities of practice within the technology domain to facilitate peer learning and professional development
  • Tech SME Onboarding Experience~ Design and refine the onboarding process for technical subject matter experts to ensure a seamless integration into our teams and projects
  • Developer Experience and AI Skills Enablement~ Drive initiatives to enhance the developer experience and deliver training programs focused on AI and other emerging technologies
  • Standard Practices Development~ Develop and enforce standard engineering practices to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across all development teams
Qualifications~
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a technology environment
  • Strong background in software development and project management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change and develop new programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in organizing and leading technical events and workshops
  • Deep understanding of knowledge sharing practices and community building
FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $145,900.00 - $245,120.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
