Fischer Forensic Engineering, located in Punta Gorda, Fl. is looking for a technician in the forensic engineering field, which includes the inspection and analysis of transportation related collisions of passenger vehicles, tractor trailers, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians. Our scope is to provide our clients with a thorough and objective analysis involving human factors, vehicle design/dynamics, and the configuration of the environment.

Responsibilities include:
- Conduct inspections and testing of vehicles and scenes for a diverse range of accidents.
- Collect information and evidence to perform forensic analysis and accident reconstruction.
- Review supporting materials to help in the investigation of the accident, including peer reviewed scientific papers, vehicle specifications, supporting depositions, and other relevant materials.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid U.S. driver's license, with 5-year clean driving history.
Must be able to work outdoors for several hours at a time.
Must be comfortable working around high traffic areas.
Must be able to drive long distances.
Must have a technical aptitude for computers.
Must be willing to obtain certifications and continued training in the field of forensic engineering and related topics.
Ability to utilize tools, maneuver in/around/under vehicles and lift objects in the 50-pound range.
Must be comfortable with completing the minor disassembly and reassembly of motor vehicle components.
Good organization and interpersonal skills required for client and third-party interactions.
In rare instances, you may be required to travel out of state, or stay overnight for an inspection.
In rare instances, you may have to perform emergency inspections on weekends or after regular business hours.
Basic photography skills are a plus.
A Commercial Drone License is a plus.
