Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Has responsibility to report all food safety/quality concerns to the Transportation Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Director of Quality Assurance, or Chief Operating Officer
- Pulls product for freight shipments, per printed Pick Lists provided by the Transportation Manager.
- Writes lot numbers on cartons.
- Wraps and packs the product on outgoing pallets.
- Load trucks with outgoing shipments.
- Other tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Ability to read English pick lists and pull specified products by lot numbers with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to accurately read and record lot numbers
- Ability to switch between multiple tasks in order to accommodate truck drivers
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to remain flexible under rapidly changing circumstances, while maintaining a positive attitude
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Entry level to experienced
- Most work is performed in a non-climate controlled warehouse and outside, where weather conditions may be extreme.
- Requires prolonged walking, bending, lifting, and stooping.
- Hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with occasional overtime as needed. While rare, may be called in to work when a truck arrives during non-business hours.
