Responsible for daily operations of exotic bird aviaries.
Primary Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of aviaries; weekly disinfection of aviaries.
• Daily diet preparation, feeding and other husbandry duties
• Provide enrichment activities for birds.
• Monitor bird's weights, general health and groom as necessary.
• Handling medical emergencies of animals; administration of treatments.
• Provide interpretive talks and answer visitors inquiries.
• Perform general maintenance of aviaries and landscaping of surrounding area.
• Perform other duties as requested.
• Comply with all Fisher Island standards (i.e., grooming, conduct, policies, and procedures).

Education/Skills/Work Experience RequiredHigh school diploma with some college preferred; Experience with animal husbandry and handling preferred; Ability to lift 50 lbs.; Experience with basic power tools; valid Florida driver's license and vehicle; communications and public relations skills.
