Summary of Position:
Fishing Point Healthcare is seeking a full-time on-site role for an Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk. The Accounts Payable/Payroll Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, verifying and reconciling transactions, maintaining vendor records, communicating with vendors and department heads, and posting transactions to journals, ledgers, and software. Process payroll for employees accurately and timely The candidate should be proficient in the use of accounting software such as Quickbooks, Oracle, SAP, etc.
Qualifications
· Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles
· Experience working with accounting software
· Experience in accounts payable, invoicing, vendor management, and transaction reconciliation
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate accounting and financial concepts to non-financial staff
· An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field is preferred
· Relevant certification such as Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) is a plus

Accounts Payable/Payroll Roles & Responsibilities
· Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
· Provide other clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization
· Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables
· Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes
· Protect businesses against unintentional overpayment
· Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner.
Day-to-Day Duties
· Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices or receiving signatures
· Assemble and review invoices to be completed for payment
· Maintain copies of vouchers, invoices or correspondence necessary for files
· Type periodic reports and other records
· Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments
· Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers
· Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amounts and coding per accounting policies and procedures
· Reconcile bank statements
· Input daily bookkeeping and record keeping
· Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure goods or services were received before issuing payment to vendors
· Process payroll for employees accurately and timely
· Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
· Prepare and analyze payroll reports
· Handle inquiries from employees regarding payroll matters
· Collaborate with HRIS to maintain employee records
· Assist with corporate accounting tasks related to payroll
· Conduct bookkeeping for payroll transactions
