Reporting to the SVP, Corporate Finance, the VP, Investor Relations will be responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of investor relations efforts. The primary goal of the position is to further the company's access to debt and equity capital and to increase the company's name recognition, globally. Key initiatives include: first, developing and maintaining an investor targeting strategy that includes outreach to generalist institutional equity and fixed income investors; secondly, developing and maintaining industry and S&P 500 leading investor relations communications material, which could include development of presentations geared toward new and generalist investors, presentation(s) meant to engage fixed income investors, earnings call presentations, and the corporate website; thirdly, generating internal buy-in for as well as planning and executing the company's first investor day in 2025. The VP, Investor Relations will manage and mentor one to two junior staff members.

The VP, Investor Relations will cultivate relationships with the investment community (institutional debt and equity investors, registered investment advisors, retail investors, and industry research analysts). A key objective of the role is to persuasively and credibly communicate the company's investment proposition to investors together with its strategy, financial performance, recent events, and ESG efforts in order to enhance the understanding of existing investors and cultivate interest from new investors. To do this, the VP, Investor Relations will exhibit adept verbal and written communication skills and advanced PowerPoint skills. The VP, Investor Relations will exhibit a deep understanding of the company's business model, recent developments, and competitive positioning, and translating it into a compelling message for investors and delivering it through strategic targeting initiatives mentioned above.

The VP, Investor Relations will adapt messaging as needed to position the company favorably to support our future success and will serve as the primary point of contact for all investor-related matters, collaborating closely with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders within the company.

Core Competencies:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in investor relations, equity research, corporate strategy and finance, investment banking, or consulting.
  • Four-year bachelor's degree with a major in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or Finance preferred. MBA, CFA, and/or CPA preferred.
  • Strong ability to synthesize and convey strategic and financial messages in written materials and through PowerPoint.
  • Strong ability to present strategic and financial messages in small and large group formats.
  • Advanced design skills in PowerPoint.
  • Familiar with financial modeling and valuation methods used by REIT analysts and investors is a plus.
  • Charismatic communicator and passionate relationship builder.
  • Expectation for in-office attendance 4 days per week.
