Position Overview: The Human Resources Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission by overseeing all aspects of human resources operations in our Tuscaloosa location. This position is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support organizational objectives and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Manage the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.

Oversee employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.

Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

Manage employee relations issues, including investigating complaints, conducting interviews, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS systems.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Develop and deliver training programs for employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

Participate in HR-related projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in human resources management.

Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly in Alabama.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

SHRM certification preferred.

Location Specifics: This position is based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and may require occasional travel to other Five Horizons Health Services locations within the state.
