Job Summary:

Oversees the electrical control installation in order to meet specification requirements for the assigned project. Performs the proper testing to complete start-up of projects.

Duties:

- Follows Five Star Airport Alliance Electrical Department standards in electrical control installation and commissioning.

- Ensures compliance with customer requirements specified in project documents. Communicates with the electrical project engineer in order to implement directions and tasks within the project.

-Contributes to keeping installation standards and database updated to ensure a high-quality product. Keeps current with technology in baggage handling. Uses Kronos software for timekeeping.

-Ensures that all safety regulations are met. Acts as the Company’s representative of the Electrical Department during commissioning of the project at the site. Travel needed electrical control installation.

Requirements:

-5 years’ experience in electrical field installation and willing to travel.

-May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or have electrical license as a Journeyman. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the baggage-handling field. Experience with controls automation (24v ac/dc, and 120vac) and 480v. motor experience preferred.

-Strong communication, organizational and project management skills. Electrical installations experience in BHS or industrial controls.

-Must understand PLC I/O wiring, checkout, and problem solving.

-Also, must be able to read and interpret PLC I/O drawings which include the operation of all field devices and connected components.

-Technical expertise to resolve PLC related installation issues is crucial for this position. Variable experience with centralized & distributed controls MPC/PLC Systems. Preferable is centralized controls.
