Continuous Improvement Engineering Co-op

Five Star Fabricating is a privately held, fast growing expert in manufacturing high-performance composite,
polycarbonate, and plastic components for a variety of applications in the automotive industry that is located
about 15 minutes East of Lake Geneva, WI. Our Engineering team is seeking a Co-op student to embark on a
rewarding journey of hands-on learning and professional growth. This opportunity is designed for engineering
students eager to apply their academic knowledge in real world setting.

Responsibilities:

To drive a culture of continuous improvement at Five Star, the candidate will perform the below tasks and more:

• Shadow departments on the manufacturing floor and identify improvement opportunities in quality,

• Design and construct production fixturing and equipment.

• Create process maps of manufacturing processes.

• Identify and eliminate ergonomic and safety concerns on the manufacturing floor.

• Generate manufacturing process documentation and training.

• Participate in 5S events.

• Use root cause analysis tools to identify quality issues and address them.

Qualifications:

• Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology Background

• Experience with 2D and 3D Design Software

• Prior Work and Internship Experience Highly Preferred

• Junior, Senior, or Graduate Level Students Preferred

• A Willing, Humble, Available, and Teachable Attitude
