About The RoleAs our Area Manager, you'll lead a team across multiple stores in the Boston/Cambridge area, including managing our Boston - Newbury retail store. You'll be the driving force behind exceptional customer experiences, fostering a love for the outdoors, and achieving outstanding sales results. Your days will be filled with:
- Leading with Passion: Inspire and empower your team to share their passion for Fjällräven and the outdoors, including providing appropriate performance feedback and educating staff about the Fjällräven brand experience
- Building Strong Teams: Develop your team's knowledge and skills, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment by maintaining a regular communication cadence (1:1 meetings, store visits, etc.) and recruiting, building, developing, and managing strong staffs
- Driving Sales Success: Develop data-driven strategies and coach your team to achieve ambitious sales goals.
- Creating Community: Become a local champion for Fjällräven, building relationships and hosting events that connect people with nature.
- Living the Fjällräven Way: Champion Fjällräven's commitment to sustainability in everything you do.
Required skills and experience:
- At least three years experience in a leadership role (preferred)
- At least two years experience in the retail market, preferably for an outdoor or lifestyle brand
- Proven success in building and motivating high-performing teams
- Strong understanding of retail operations, including sales, inventory management, and visual merchandising
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
- Data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel regionally 40% of the time
- Passion for the outdoors and a deep appreciation for Fjällräven's values
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
