ABOUT THE ROLE

Fjällräven seeks a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to oversee Visual Merchandising across both Global Direct to Consumer (DTC) stores and Wholesale channels in the Americas. As Senior Manager of Visual Merchandising, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our brand's visual identity and elevating the customer experience in all retail environments.

This full-time, exempt position is based out of our offices in Louisville, CO (in office 4 days per week).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop and execute comprehensive visual merchandising strategies for Global DTC and Wholesale channels in the Americas, ensuring alignment with brand standards and seasonal themes.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director to effectively integrate marketing narratives into retail environments, enhancing storytelling and brand coherence.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and feedback to the Visual Merchandising Coordinator, ensuring alignment with brand standards and fostering professional growth and development.
  • Lead the development and implementation of creative merchandising concepts that enhance product storytelling and provide an elevated shopping experience.
  • Manage the visual merchandising calendar, coordinating seasonal updates and workload distribution to meet deadlines across all retail locations.
  • Oversee visual merchandising for all Brand Store locations, appointing and mentoring visual leads to ensure consistent execution and growth of the Visual Merchandising department.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Merchandising / Planning Team, Global Retail, and Retail Operations, to support trade shows, in-store events, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Guide regional needs and ensure compliance with company standards for signage, displays, and merchandising.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Construction Manager on store layout and design for new store openings, including training staff on visual standards.
  • Lead window installations and in-store displays, aligning with seasonal directives and executing quarterly merchandising flips.
  • Identify key styles and trends for each season, leveraging buying trends and input from headquarters to inform regional photoshoots and marketing assets.

Additional Duties:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Visual Merchandising Manual and training program, ensuring consistency in store standards and seasonal layouts.
  • Manage the visual merchandising budget and travel requirements, including off-peak hours, weekends, and overnight stays.
  • Stay abreast of current trends in visual presentation and continually refine strategies to enhance the brand's visual impact.

WHO YOU ARE

You have had the following experiences in your career journey:

  • At least eight years of visual merchandising experience, ideally in the outdoor space
  • Prior experience with visual merchandising within a corporate or brand headquarters setting
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience

You possess the following skills, knowledge, and attributes:

  • Skilled in presenting and selling in ideas to team, peers, and leadership, both domestically and abroad.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects with adherence to deadlines.
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, work at heights and climb ladders.

The anticipated wage for this position is $90,000-100,000 annually.
