Job Description

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Worker 1 is to perform routine and preventive maintenance and repairs for designated building, facilities and equipment, ensuring technical operations are in proper running order.

Role and Responsibilities

• Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
• Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance functions.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detects faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to supervisor.
• Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
• Operates a forklift after receiving training and certification.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School diploma preferred. At least one (1) year of experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

• • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical Skills/Reasoning Ability: Basic math skills.
  • Computer Skills: Knowledge of Excel and Word software.
