Responsibilities:
- Perform materials and characterization and testing on a variety of automated systems
- Perform materials synthesis via a variety of methods
- Document experimental procedures, results, and analyses in a clear and organized manner
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
- Contribute to the development and optimization of new materials and processes
- Collaborate with team members to support ongoing research projects and initiatives
- Extreme attention to detail: ensures accuracy and consistency in all tasks
- Fast study: capable of replicating a lab process after observing once and adapting to new methods quickly
- Voracious learner: eager to learn about new scientific domains, instruments, and approaches
- Self-starter: proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong teamwork skills: eager to work with highly skilled and dynamic teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and technical setting
- Excellent communication skills: able to clearly articulate findings and collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Problem-solving skills: able to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during experiments
- B.S. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related role
- 2-4 years industry experience working in a materials or chemistry lab
- Experience with materials synthesis and characterization techiques
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
