Position Summary :

Laronde is seeking a creative and scientifically rigorous Research Associate II or Senior Research Associate to join our expanding Formulation and Delivery Sciences team, support the delivery strategies for our nucleic acid-based modality.

The candidate must be proactive, motivated, and able to work efficiently within a multi-disciplinary team. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in RNA formulations, including LNP and other nanoparticles and understanding of nucleic acid delivery and characterization techniques.

The candidate will be responsible for supporting the lab scale production and characterization of eRNA formulations for all in vitro and in vivo needs, as well as exploring new delivery modalities and applications.

The position will support projects within a broad therapeutic platform.

Key Responsibilities :

• Formulate eRNAs in nanoparticles to support companys in vitro and in vivo pre-clinical studies
• Develop and execute analytical methods to characterize the formulations including nanoparticle techniques and methods to assess purity and stability of the formulated molecules
• Assist in the development of novel formulations (LNP, PNP, etc.)
• Maintain thorough and detailed electronic lab notebooks and documentation records
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clear communication of scientific findings across interdisciplinary teams
• Support generation of IP for core projects

Qualifications :

• BS / MS in Chemistry, Chemical / Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline with 1-2 years of industry experience.
• Demonstrated success in nucleic acid delivery and the development of diverse drug carriers with hands-on experience in nanoparticles including lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations & characterization
• Direct experience with RNA encapsulation / quantification / characterization / handling is preferred
• Proficiency in analytical techniques like DLS, zeta potential, UV-Vis and fluorescence spectrophotometry, gel electrophoresis etc. is preferred
• Action-oriented, team player, and highly motivated, with strong work ethic
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic, innovative environment
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and collaborate across disciplines
