POSITION OVERVIEW
Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club in Flagstaff, Arizona is excited to announce the career opportunity of an Administrative and HR Specialist. Qualified candidates must thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the Club’s members, guests and employees. The position start date is 7/1/2024.
This position would be responsible for managing various functions related to human resources as well as the direct administrative support for both the Controller and General Manager for not only the Golf Club but the Property Owner’s Association, Mutual Waste Water Company, Fire District and Golf Cottages Sub Association. Our staff here at Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club strive to create a friendly, fun and inviting atmosphere for both visitors and Members.
CLUB OVERVIEW
Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club is an 18-hole private, member-owned Club located in Flagstaff, Arizona and is ranked by Golfweek as the 16th best private golf course in Arizona and the 126th ranked residential community in the United States. The Club sits at over 7,000 feet in the middle of North America’s largest Ponderosa pine forest while enjoying summertime temperatures 30-40 degrees cooler than Phoenix. Opening in 2003, Flagstaff Ranch has established itself as a premier golf club and community. Our Club was created for those who love dramatic views, mountain wildlife, and a welcomed respite from the hustle, bustle and heat of urban life.
Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club was designed by US Open Champion Jerry Pate; the golf course boasts dramatic mountain views while playing to a par of 71 and measures 7,160 yards. The Club membership consists of 400 full family memberships that play 13,000 rounds during our six-month golfing season. The membership enjoys a world class golf shop and practice facility, a 26,000 square foot clubhouse, locker room facilities, club storage, fitness center, swimming pool, tennis/pickleball courts, youth activity center and kids play ground, and a full-service food and beverage operation.
Flagstaff Ranch has recently partnered with Troon, the world’s largest golf management company. Troon will provide additional support, training and future job and growth opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Employee onboarding: Facilitating new employee orientation, ensuring that new hires receive necessary training and have access to necessary tools and resources
· Performance management: Developing and implementing performance management processes, providing coaching and feedback to managers and employees, conducting check ins with HR and identifying areas for improvement
· HR data management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records
· HR policy development: Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, including employee handbooks and HR manuals
· Employee relations: Providing guidance and support to employees on workplace issues, managing employee grievances and conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment
· Processing of monthly Golf Club, Property Owners Association and Waste Water statements
· Answering telephone main line and direct the caller to the correct department
· Help with the management of filing important Club documents, statements, reports
· Other duties assigned

· Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner, which is accurate, complete, and of high quality
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must possess a high attention to detail, prioritization and organizational skills, be exceptional at verbal and written communication with members, guests, and coworkers, be a self-starter, and have a positive can-do attitude. Prior work experience in either HR or Administration is required.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, committees, suppliers, members, and employees.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Experience and knowledge using a computer is a must along with skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook. Prior experience with Accounting Software is preferred but not required.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Annual salary range is $50,000-55,000. Performance bonus based on criteria established by the Controller. The standard benefits package applies in addition to continued training and education allowance.
