Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) is Hiring a Business Development Specialist Near Munich, ND

Flanders Investment & Trade is looking for a business developer for our Science and Technology Office in Munich, Germany.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of supporting Flemish companies internationalizing towards Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, and provide guidance of German companies seeking to set up shop in Flanders. You will build customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and maintain an extensive knowledge of market conditions and insights. 

Role and Responsibilities 

Business Development

· Develop and maintain business network in Southern Germany.

· Manage and support inquiries for Flemish companies in go-to-market.

· Research of B2B market information and map of ecosystems (e.g., advanced MedTech). 

· Cold calling and contact initiation between Flemish and German business partners. 

Administration

· Document and maintain our Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

· Write meeting minutes and consistently follow up on actions.

· Administer expenses and manage event budgets. 

· Active participate in inhouse training and continuous improve activities.

Marketing Communication and Events

· Promote and communicate on social media and dedicated mailings.

· Organize and implement B2B delegation seminars, matchmaking events and trade fairs. 

· Document and evaluate trade shows and conferences in Germany region. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business or Customer Service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
