The Flawless People Team It's an exciting time to join the Flawless People Team. We're currently a team of two, based in London, and we work very closely with the Head of Talent Acquisition, in Santa Monica, CA and both TA teams in the US and UK. We're responsible for everything from designing the employee experience and partnering with business leaders to looking after the day to day operational People processes. We're a close-knit team and we place a lot of value on teamwork, but we equally have autonomy to lead on each of our areas of accountability. Our principles are:

Our People strategy is focused on putting in place the People fundamentals to enable the business to grow and our employees to be at their best. Current programs include manager development and career paths and we have exciting plans to build on our performance and compensation frameworks later in the year.
Role overview You'll be the People Partner for our US-based employees and will partner with a diverse and growing team of 75 Research and Applied Scientists, VFX and Post-Production Specialists and Commercial team members. You're joining the team at an early stage and will play a key role in shaping our culture and be a part of building the People processes from scratch.
This is a generalist role covering a mix of business partnering, people projects and people operations, and, depending on what you're most passionate about and your skillset, there will also be opportunities to lead on company-wide people initiatives across all of Flawless.
Responsibilities - Lead on all operational People processes in the US, including payroll, visas and onboarding
- Design our US policies from scratch and ensure our company-wide People processes are adapted for the US team
- Manage the relationship with our EOR (currently Rippling)
- Advise and coach managers on a range of ER and People-related matters
- Coach line managers in leadership and people management
- Partner with leaders in our Santa Monica office to build strategies to increase engagement
- Be the point of contact for all US-employees, resolving queries and supporting their development
- Lead the US benefits operations
- Partner with our Head of TA and the London People Team on our compensation philosophy, including benchmarking and the creation of salary bands
- Partner with leaders in the US on the design of career frameworks for employees
- Lead on the local rollout of global People initiatives
Who are you? - You have solid experience as a People generalist spanning People operations, employee relations and some business partnering
- You've got experience coaching and supporting managers in their growth and development
- You're comfortable working as a 'full-stack' People generalist, flexing between operational, tactical and strategic work
- You're a natural relationship builder and genuinely care about the people that you partner with
- You've got experience working in startups or scaleups, partnering with either technology or entertainment organizations
- You're an expert on California employment law and are comfortable operating without oversight in the US
- You're super strong operationally - you have broad knowledge of policies and processes
- You love to understand the needs of the business and put them at the heart of what you do
