FLEETCOR is Hiring a People Operations Assistant Near Meriden, CT

Your roleTo support the HR Operations team to deliver a fully integrated, business focused HR service to all FleetCor UK employees.
What You'll Be DoingWhat We NeedCorpay is currently looking to hire a People Operations Assistant, this position provides HR support to the HR Operations Manager in the day to day running of the department and offering first line generic advice on policies and procedures in the absence of the HR Operations Manager and HR Director to all Corpay and other parent company employees across the UK.
How We WorkAs a People Operations Assistant, you will be expected to work in a Hybrid (3 days in the office/ 2 days WFH) environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:
  • Assigned workspace in our Swindon, UK – Canberra House, Lydiard Fields, Great Western Way, Swindon SN5 8UZ
  • Company-issued equipment remote access
  • Formal, hands-on training
Role ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Supporting and where appropriate advise managers and employees on organizational change, people management and performance measures in conjunction with the company handbook
  • Providing first line support for initial employee relations case management and support employee relations issues (e.g. take notes at disciplinary and grievance hearings and conduct investigations)
  • Supporting the onboarding of new employees by generating offer letters and contracts, coordinating interviews and carrying out HR team, administrative tasks for starters, leavers and the HR leadership team.
  • Providing administrative support in areas including reward and recognition (including administrating the benefit and recognition schemes), learning and development, employee relations and communications. Support vendor management and act as a liaison with external benefit providers
  • Undertaking specific projects as determined by the HR plan
  • Working in conjunction with the HR Operations Manager to review, update and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Employment Legislation.
  • Being an ambassador for attention-to-detail, ensuring a high standard on all employee communications relating to HR
Qualifications & Skills
  • We do NOT sponsor work visas
  • Must have personal transportation
  • CIPD level 3 to 5 certifications preferred
  • 3 years of human resources operations experience
  • Confident communication, verbal and written, with excellent planning skills and great attention to detail in their work, along with an ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Numerate, ideally with well-developed analytical skills including use of the Microsoft Office suite, namely; Word, Outlook & Excel.
  • Pro-active in managing workload and able to priorities and organize depending on the importance/urgency of the task and experience of working within HR.
  • Previous use of HR systems an advantage (Workday).
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced corporate business would be an advantage.
