Directs, coordinates activities, and develops the Manufacturing Engineering department in Advanced Quality Planning and processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by your supervisor.
Directs and coordinates department resources to efficiently support plant operations to meet customer, production and plant goals.
Develop program launch and ramp up plans for new programs.
Development and timely delivery of secondary manufacturing equipment.
Assure manufacturability of new parts prior to launch.
Effectively delegates and oversees work to subordinates as required while assisting them when appropriate.
Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
Controls internal change process thru the C.N.A. process.
Discusses work-place issues with all associates in a respectful manner looking for positive solutions.
Recommend capital equipment usage and manage cost associated with such.
Must be flexible for change and be able to work well under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Responsible for maintaining 5S standards as they relate to housekeeping in assigned work area.
Maintains compliance to company policies, work rules, safety & housekeeping standards.
Follow ISO 14001 and TS 16949 Requirements per the standard.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervisory responsibilities for Mfg. Engineers, Tooling Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Industrial Engineers, Controls Engineering, and Engineering Administrators. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
