Primary Responsibilities:
Perform ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Responsibilities include performing a variety of maintenance tasks to diagnose, repair, rebuild, or replace mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on all plant equipment and facility.
Qualifications:
1. Coursework or certification in electronic technology and a minimum of five (5) years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology, PLC’s, and troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment.
2. Possess a wide skill set to include electrical (including 3-phase wiring and AC/DC drives and control wiring), mechanical, plumbing, pneumatics and hydraulics.
3. Ability to work well with others and possess good organization skills.
4. Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
5. Computer literate with a strong working knowledge in Excel.
6. Must possess a knowledge of factory safety (OSHA) and environmental (EPA) procedures.
7. Must be available to work off shifts and overtime as required.
8. Must be willing and able to climb ladders or work from elevated platforms as necessary.
9. Must be able to stand/walk 10-12 hour shifts and ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
10. Ability to operate a forklift or scissor lift.
Typical Duties and Essential Responsibilities:
1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production and facility equipment.
2. Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild or replace electro/mechanical equipment such a chillers, compressors, extruders, grinders, slitters, and all custom equipment within the facility.
3. With the direction of the Engineering Manager, install new equipment and oversee major repairs.
4. Assist in the implementation of new products and processes from sister facilities.
5. Maintain an inventory of spare parts and order replacements as necessary.
6. Record and maintain records on a computerized maintenance software system.
7. Ability to design and create set-up, process and quality work sheets.
8. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
9. Responsible for all company owned tools.
10. Always work in a safe manner following all established rules and regulations.
11. The ability to be qualified as an operator on all company production equipment in order to gain a better understanding of how each machine operates.
12. Performs any other duties assigned by the Engineering Manager or other management as required.
