Retail Associate - Cashier

Jacobson , a dominant Northeast Floral Wholesaler, is a Well Established (80 years in business), Dynamic, Profitable, company. We have an opening for an Shipping Lead.

This position is full-time with benefits – medical, dental, 401(k) match, vacation, holidays, etc.

You, as the successful candidate, will perform crucial customer service duties ensuring a high-quality consumer experience by greeting customers, answering questions related to merchandise, store policies, and locating items for customers. You will also be responsible for customer transactions, using a point-of-sale system to process transactions and collect purchase payments.

Responsibilities

· Perform cashier duties including processing orders, returns, and monetary transactions.

· Develop working product knowledge of a vast and changing inventory.

· Maintain store inventory and appearance including stocking, cleaning, and organizing.

· Select orders for Shipping to pack for delivery.

· Customer service skills to create the best experience for customers as possible.

· Arrive at scheduled shifts on time and satisfy work commitments.

· Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

· Prior retail or cashier experience preferred. 

· High level of attention to detail. 

· Must be able to lift 40 pounds. 

· Strong organizational and time management skills. 

· Excellent communication skills and spatial perception. 

· Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments. 

· Flexibility, awareness, and the ability to problem solve.
