Under the direction of the Quality Control Manager, the Quality Control Technician will be responsible for ensuring the quality of precast/prestressed concrete products through testing, inspection, and documentation. The technician will work closely with production crews to ensure that products meet or exceed industry standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate would be ACI and/or PCI certified and have prior experience working in a precast concrete production facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Conduct quality control tests and inspections on precast/prestressed concrete products to ensure adherence to industry standards and customer specifications.
• Perform moisture, slump, air content, and other required quality control tests on raw materials and finished products.
• Record and maintain accurate records of all quality control testing procedures and results.
• Monitor production processes to detect and correct product defects before they occur.
• Work with production crews to identify process improvements that will increase product quality and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with production crew leaders and management to resolve quality control issues.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry standards, regulations, and precast/prestressed concrete best practices.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Control Manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• ACI and/or PCI certification preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Occasionally requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
• Demonstrate a willingness and desire to learn and grow.
