Payroll specialist
Summary
The payroll specialist is responsible for performing payroll related duties. This position is part of the Accounting department and reports directly to the Chief Accounting Officer.
Essential Functions
- Process biweekly payroll for two entities using Paycom software
- Analyzes, prepares, and inputs payroll data
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and in house policies
- Reconcile general ledger regarding payroll transactions
- Runs reports on Paycom and using Excel
- Assist with other payroll related projects for the accounting department
- Perform other duties as assigned
Competencies
- Advance excel
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Well organized
- Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Experience using Paycom is a plus
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience, required
- Experience in payroll and or accounting
