FlexStaff Careers is Hiring an Ambulatory Surgery Center Administrator Near New York, NY

Summary:

In this very hands on role, as an ASC Administrator, you will oversee a multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery center. Only those candidates with at least 5 years of demonstrated experience overseeing Ambulatory Care Centers will be considered for this role. You will actively participate in the development, planning and operations for this site. You will be responsible for ensuring continual efficient and compliant operational performance of department/division and all related areas. You will also be responsible for financial and revenue cycle functions, Quality and Service Excellence initiatives, process improvement, and staffing.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years managerial experience in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital perioperative setting, required.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with administrative leadership, chairs, physicians and other clinical personnel to develop, implement and oversee clinical programs.
  • Participates in monitoring and evaluating a program's inception and performance and routinely monitors performance per volumes, referrals and trends.
  • Plan and supports program development of the department/division.
  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets - operational, personnel and capital.
  • Develop and present annual departmental fund budgets for the ASC, including forecasting of revenue trends and expense analyses.
  • Monitor budgetary variances and progress in budget revenue performance and communicates to board.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards of care which includes Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), International Health Institute (IHI), Community Alternatives Programs (CAP), etc.
  • Develop quality/performance improvement programs, instructing staff and implementing new and improved standards.
