Flightstar is currently seeking a Production Control Lead to support our administrative operations on 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience supporting MRO maintenance operations. Position Summary The Production Control Lead serves as a subject matter expert for the Production Control Assistants (PCAs) and will directly oversee administrative procedures to ensure high levels of accuracy and efficiency with aircraft maintenance task completion and verification. Additionally, the Lead will provide training to new PCAs and create development plans for future growth. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Acts as an expert in the customer systems as well as Flightstar's ERP system.
Provides feedback to the Production Control Supervisor on performance of PCAs.
Rolls up process improvement ideas to Production Control Supervisor / Planning and Production Control Manager.
Coordinates with Production Control Supervisor to ensure proper staff in the work booth area.
Fills in for coverage gaps of PCAs as needed.
Understands and can execute the Planning function of adding Additional Work Requests (AWRs) and Engineering Support Requests (ESRs) coupled with training these work booth ad-hoc functions to the PCAs.
Provides oversight to ensure customer KPIs are tracked and rolled up per program objectives and requirements.
Ensures PCAs are tracking and balancing task cards systemically versus physically including data entry and auditing in both Flightstar's and the customers operating system.
Performs random sample audits of electronic work booth's work order data to include: accuracy of task card reconciliation, customer system card count to Flightstar card count, and accuracy of closed card billing and materials.
Ensures PCAs are managing the critical work booth supplies including color printer cartridges, paper supply and skill code stickers.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Control Supervisor.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
English Fluency, Spanish is a plus
Mastery of Flightstar's and its customer's ERP system
Aircraft records administration and/or project support experience
Strong Organizational Skills, attention to detail and ability to consistently meet deadlines
