As a Design and Sales Associate, you will be responsible to sell flooring to customers and deliver on the sale in seeing installation through to completion and final payment. The Design and Sales Associate must focus on customer experience by assisting them in making creative choices that will work best to fulfill the vision they have for their space. To thrive in this role, youll need to be self-motivated, an independent worker, a great communicator, highly organized, and enjoy a team atmosphere. We are looking for an individual who isnt afraid to work hard, including some evenings and weekends. The right individual will play a key part in the expansion of this company and will have the opportunity to grow as the company grows. This is a full time, 100% commission-based role. A company Van loaded with over 3000 samples will be provided for this role. Responsibilities: Design and Sales
Be the primary sales person for the company with exceptional close rate and high margin for both in-home and B2B2C sale
Become an expert in understating all of the companys products and services
Collaborate with the customer and help them find a great solution for their needs
Grow the business through self-sourced leads and create a book of business for the company to supplement leads acquired by other methods
Maintain customer relationships and develop key referral sources to generate ongoing business
Be available to work show room hours to serve our customer, if needed
Use all steps of our Inspired sale process (training provided)
Make decisions and act in accordance with FCIs core values and mission
Marketing & Customer Relations
Ensure the highest (NPS) and rating for the company in flooring in the communities served
Ensure customers expectations are exceeded (including for lost sale)
Assist in developing, managing, and implementing local marketing initiatives
Support and participate in home shows and events (some evenings and weekends may be required)
Finance and Accounting
Work with external bookkeeping and accounting vendors for timely and accurate capture of income and expenses (training provided)
Track, prepare, and manage timely payment of business-related expenses to vendors, suppliers and partners
Generate reports for financial management
Production and Operations
Capture detailed pictures and videos at the time of customer visit for production
Make sure that product orders are accurate and follow up on delivery
Coordinate schedules between customers and installers for efficient job scheduling
Communicate start dates and times with installers and customers
Keep customers informed about ongoing installation details and job progress
Obtain written permission for any changes in contracted work
Confirm scope of work and compensation with installers prior to the start of each job
Update FCI systems with job status and upcoming schedules (training provided)
Collaborate with the Owner weekly to discuss recent sales, review customer expectations, and manage product orders
Generate reports for operations management
Continuous Improvement
Attend weekly meetings with the Owner at scheduled times
Work towards weekly and monthly goal achievement
Be open to attending training seminars at the owners discretion

Design and Sales Associate Qualifications:
Expert level understanding of flooring and flooring sales for hardwood, LVP, carpet, tile and vinyl including required materials and installation techniques
Track record of selling $600K or more of flooring per year for at least 2 of the past 4 years
Experience with in-home sales highly desired
Understanding of home design and dcor trends a plus
Comfortable with tracking and managing performance metrics and ability to make smart, on-the-spot decisions
Strong communication skills, particularly over the phone
Capable of working independently without constant supervision
Proficient using enterprise systems and computers/tablets for the job (training provided)
Proficiency in managing crews and calendars
Desire to learn and grow professionally
Desire to assist with the growth of a new location
