The Opportunity

Florence Corporation, the nations leading manufacturer in quality mailboxes is now hiring Manufacturing Production Team Members for the Assembly. Assemblers work on product assembly lines in the following areas: CBU, 4C, 4B and APS. Assembler I employees perform manual activities related to riveting, slides, doors & rods, joining, hinges, trim kits, decals, key tags, arms & springs. Assembler I are assigned to product lines based on manufacturing needs. For operational flexibility and professional growth, the willingness and ability to become cross-trained and to rotate positions is essential.

What you'll do

• Operate a variety of hand tools and operations in their assigned departments, including but not limited to: Riveting, drilling, inserting screws and pins, using a small mallet, and threading nuts on to bolts etc.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Wear proper PPE
• Attend and constructively participate in safety meetings and safety training
• Actively promote safety
• Report injuries to supervisor immediately
• Cooperate with fellow employees and supervisor
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with other work groups, both within and outside of his/her department
• Help other coworkers learn their job
• Participate in problem solving as directed
• Recommend ideas for continual improvement.
• Keep area clean and free from excess clutter to ensure a smooth operation and desirable work conditions
• Understanding and demonstrated performance in managing component parts associated with the job.
• This includes accounting for use, scrap, rework of material as well as identification, proper storage and care.
