Job Summary:

The Industry Engagement Coordinator position will be based in the Department’s Central Office location in Tallahassee, FL. The services to be provided shall include:

1. Compile information about new industry engagements; maintain employer information and status of engagements.

2. Inform prospective employers of procedures and processes for working with Florida Department of Corrections.

3. Answer industry questions and explain available benefits of being a fair chance employer, such as work opportunity tax credits, federal bonding, a motivated workforce, skills training inside institutions, etc.

4. Gather information about prospective employer partner needs and work requirements.

5. Maintain timely and updated contact information for partner employers.

6. Compile data on job candidates for sharing with partner employers. Standardize information sharing reports for employer partners and industry.

7. Schedule Open Houses and Informational Sessions for employers to

engage students in Compass classes via DTEN technology.

Required Experience: A Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional experience in workforce development, business development, or partnership development or related field;
