Description

In this role you will:

Be responsible for monitoring the Diagnostic Testing queues for their assigned locations ensuring all orders have been addressed by the end of day. They research reasons why orders were not completed at the time of service (i.e., order not submitted prior to patient check out, ordered submitted on a non-clinic day, etc.) and addresses any orders submitting outside of the clinic appointment by contacting the patient to schedule their diagnostic testing appointment, update order with appointment detail and forwards the order in Athena. Handles rescheduling of diagnostic testing appointments that have been cancelled or bumped. They monitor MRI schedules to ensure schedules are full and move forward any authorized scans to prevent gaps in the schedule and loss of revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitors the diagnostic scheduling queue. Ensures all patients are contacted within defined parameters.
  • Scheduling diagnostic testing at FOI and at outside facilities, scheduling orders received from outside providers.
  • Monitors departmental e-mails received from all sectors of FOI
  • E-mails Medical Assistants to review order errors and Front Desk to review scheduling errors.
  • Addresses any orders submitting outside of the clinic appointment by contacting the patient to schedule their diagnostic testing appointment, update order with appointment detail and forwards the order in Athena.
  • Reschedules all diagnostic testing appointments that have been cancelled or bumped.
  • Monitors MRI schedules to ensure schedule are full and move forward any authorized scans to prevent gaps in the schedule and loss of revenue.
  • Communicates any issues or concerns with the diagnostic imaging orders or scheduling to the Clinic Manager.
  • Meets with the Diagnostic Services Supervisor to review statistics and processes to maintain excellent customer service.
  • Assist Supervisor with the handing of patient complaint/issues as they arise.
  • Answers incoming calls from our contact center and monitors voicemails
  • Assist Supervisor in keeping staff informed of any issues or new policies and procedures.
  • Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures set forth by the Florida Orthopaedic Institute
  • All other duties as assigned.

About You:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years' experience in the medical field
