Education and Training
  • Current, unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (ARNP) Licensure in the State of Florida or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of Florida
  • Current BLS ACLS and/or PALS required
  • OSHA for Medical Providers, HIPPA, Compliance training.
Experience
  • 3 years’ experience in the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant role required.
  • Experience with pediatric allergy and immunology highly desirable.
  • Experience using EMR system for medical documentation.
Principal Duties And ResponsibilitiesSpecific
  • Assure delivery of clinical services in a way that meets and exceeds quality standards, while providing excellent patient experience and family care.
  • Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs.
  • Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
  • Implements interventions to support the patient and family to regain or maintain physiologic mental and social stability.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of medical interventions and prescribed therapy.
  • Facilitates the patient’s transition within and between health care settings, e.g. admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
  • Collaborate with members of the medical team in ensuring a high quality patient care and that health care delivery standards are met.
  • Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.
  • Other duties as assigned by Practice Leadership and need of the Clinical area.
