General Summary
The Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for the organization’s research, development, and product implementation efforts.
Essential Functions
1. Leads an interdepartmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
2. Responsible for the development and monitoring of detailed project timelines.
3. Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
4. Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
5. Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
6. Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
7. Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
8. Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
9. Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
10. Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
11. Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

5. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Project Manager must be able to supervise, lead and engage teams not directly reporting to the project manager.
7. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
8. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
9. Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed. These characteristics are normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma plus a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience. A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Computer Science or Business is preferred.
10. PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
Physical Requirements
1. This job operates in a clerical office setting.
2. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, printers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
3. This position requires prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets. Should be able to lift full boxes of work. This position requires bending, stooping, or standing, as necessary.
