Description

We are seeking an office manager / practice manager to oversee a very busy urology practice in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will be friendly, have strong leadership skills and be highly organized. This position will rotate between three locations : near MLK/St. Joe's Hospital; Dale Mabry Carrollwood; and Lutz/St. Joe's. There are multiple providers and you need to be able to delegate because it is impossible to be everywhere at once. We recently went into an agreement with Tampa General Hospital and our group is growing. MA or clinical experience is helpful but not required.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Cultivate and enable a pleasant working environment

Cultivate and enable a pleasant patient environment
Directing, supervising and coaching the front office and clinical staff
Managing the flow of the clinic to ensure compliance, efficiency and patient satisfaction
Solving problems and addressing issues raised by physicians, staff and patients
Carrying out established policies
Monitoring and approving staff payroll and time off
Answering questions and concerns from patients, clerical staff and insurance companies

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of Epic EHR very helpful
• Skilled in planning, organizing, and supervising staff 
• Skilled in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making
• Able to develop and maintain effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients, and the public
• Skilled at active listening and effective communication
• Able to counsel/discipline personnel as requested or as may become necessary
• Able to delegate authority, responsibility to other staff personnel as deemed necessary to perform their assigned duties 
• Able to handle information in a confidential manner
• Able to demonstrate empathy and compassion
• High School Degree, but prefer a Bachelor's degree
• Bilingual English/Spanish desired
• At least 3 years in a Supervisory Medical Office Role
