Senior Director, Brokerage Operations

Location: This role can be done remotely, with the expectation to frequently travel to visit the company’s headquarters in Mountain View, CA.

The Role

As Flow Specialty continues to expand, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Brokerage Operations to lead our operational efforts and shape the future of our organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, Sivan Iram, you will serve as the linchpin between various internal units, including accounting, sales, software development, compliance, and more. Your primary responsibility will be to define business needs, implement third-party solutions, and collaborate with our product team to develop internal technology that enhances our operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of brokerage operations, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, President of Brokerage, and Chief Product Officer to define strategic objectives and develop the core pillars that will drive the business forward.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, leveraging your technical expertise to develop tools and solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a proactive leader, anticipating challenges and opportunities and taking decisive action to address them.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement third-party solutions and integrate them into our operations seamlessly.
  • Collaborate with the product team to prioritize and develop internal technology solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the brokerage operations team.
  • Act as a thought leader within the organization, offering strategic insights and recommendations based on your industry expertise and operational experience.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience in brokerage operations, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical insurance knowledge is required, with experience implementing and optimizing operational systems and processes. Having worked in a broker role is an advantage!
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various functions and levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including proactiveness, decisiveness, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience working in a startup or early-stage company environment is a plus.
  • Maintain a low ego approach, valuing input from all team members and stakeholders while driving towards the best solutions for the business.
  • Passion for innovation and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
