Role Overview:

As a Cannabis Consultant at Flower & Flame Dispensary, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that every customer's visit is more than just a transaction – it's an educational and empowering experience. You'll be the face of our dispensary, guiding customers through their cannabis journey, providing them with insights on strains, products, and consumption methods, all while embodying the values of inclusivity and community that define us.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older in compliance with legal requirements for working in a cannabis dispensary.
• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role. Experience in a fast-paced retail environment demonstrates your ability to handle various customer needs efficiently.
• Exceptional Customer Service Skills. A strong dedication to providing outstanding customer service is vital. Your ability to engage with customers in a friendly, respectful, and informative manner creates a welcoming environment.
• Proficiency in cash handling procedures is essential to accurately process transactions, maintain a secure cash flow, and adhere to strict compliance standards.
• Thorough Knowledge of Cannabis. A demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods. Your expertise empowers customers to make informed decisions based on their preferences and needs.
• The ability to pass all background checks required by the State of New Jersey, including criminal history checks and any other checks mandated for working in a regulated cannabis industry.
• A genuine passion for cannabis and a dedication to staying up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and emerging research.
• Strong Communication Skills. Effective communication, both verbal and written, is essential to convey product information, usage guidelines, and educate customers about responsible consumption.
• Attention to Detail. Meticulous attention to detail ensures that product labeling, pricing, and compliance are accurately maintained.
• A collaborative mindset is crucial for working seamlessly within a team environment, assisting coworkers, and contributing to a positive work atmosphere.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing industry regulations and the evolving preferences of customers is vital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process transactions through our point-of-sale system, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Educate customers about responsible cannabis use, helping to demystify the plant and empower them to make informed decisions.
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor, ensuring all products are appropriately labeled and displayed.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment where customers can ask questions, seek advice, and engage in meaningful conversations about cannabis.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and relevant information to provide accurate recommendations to customers.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the dispensary is clean, inviting, and fully operational at all times.
