Website: www.wilksbrothers.comThis position will be on site at our facility located in: Snyder, TX.We do not offer visa sponsorship for this position.Position Summary: Flying A Pumping Services is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to perform routine repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment, including diagnosing, adjusting, or repairing mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Key Roles / Responsibilities:
  • Diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment with supervision as needed.
  • Performs inspections, preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment, and minor component replacement as applicable.
  • Prepares and maintains records and reports accurately.
  • Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
  • Operates and inspects machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Cleans, lubricates, and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment, vehicles, components, systems, and equipment of the plant.
  • Reads and understands operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Tests machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
  • Fit bearings to adjust or repair mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Diagnoses faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
  • Examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges. Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Diesel Mechanic experience.
  • Must bring your own tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Recognize confidential information and maintains it in accordance with standard procedures.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Strong service and customer relation skills.
  • Able to read, write and speak English.
  • Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships and maintain them over time.
  • Dependable, reliable, and capable of fulfilling responsibilities.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be capable of working independently with little or no supervision and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • More than 5 years of experience
  • Diesel Technology or Automotive/ Diesel Diploma.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
  • CDL license.
Working Conditions:
  • Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
  • Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting, walking, kneeling, stooping, squatting, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, seeing, and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
  • Must demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle or feel objects or tools.
  • The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting.
  • Exerting up to 100 pounds of force- occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force- frequently, up to 20 pounds of force- constantly moving objects.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights.
  • Exposure to all climate types: hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
  • Activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
