General Purpose

We’re searching for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team.

The ideal candidate will contribute to our organizations financial stability by managing cash flow and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities/Activities

· Managing accounts payable: Using accounting software and other programs to handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.

· Analyzing workflow processes: Ensuring efficient payment processes and identifying areas for improvement.

· Vendor relationships: Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.

· Timely payments: Ensuring bills and payroll are paid accurately and on time while adhering to departmental procedures.

· Invoice processing: Handling due invoices for payments and comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges.

· Accounting duties: Processing transactions, maintaining accounts, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts.

Qualification Requirements

Education/Experience:

· At minimum, an Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field.

· 2-3 years of experience with collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable.

· 3 years experience in private corporate accounting environment.

· Experience with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, G Suite, Project, SharePoint would be an asset.

Knowledge of:

· General accounting practices (GAAP).

· ERP Systems.

· Basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.

· Working knowledge of NetSuite and Oracle would be an asset.

· Revenue recognition schedules, reconciliations, and best practices.

Skills:

· Advanced Excel skills and data entry skills.

· Strong mathematical skills.

· Ability to analyze large data sets.

· Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy.

· Superb time management.

· Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and one of the commonly used accounting ERP systems, such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite.

· Fluent in English.

Physical Work Environment

The work is performed in an office setting; well ventilated and in a comfortable setting. Work is performed seated and use of office equipment such as a computer, copier/scanner, and printer. Manual dexterity frequent. Occasional bending, lifting of less than 25lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
