Qualifications:

Required:

• High School/GED
• Case Management (1 plus years)
• Phlebotomy (1 plus years)
• Hematology (1 plus years)
• Data Entry (1 plus years)
• 1 plus years of experience in any of the following:
  • Call Center
  • Help Desk Support
  • Telephone Triage
• 1 plus years of experience in any of the following:
  • Allscripts ePrescribe
  • Long-term care (LTC) Pharmacy
  • Retail Pharmacy
• Valid Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• Any of the following valid licenses/certifications:
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

Overview:

As a Medical Assistant at our client - Clinic - Blaine North, you will be crucial in managing customer flow throughout the clinic and assisting providers in treating a diverse range of customers. Your responsibilities will include performing clinical and clerical tasks, supporting the clinic, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical and clerical tasks to manage customer flow throughout the clinic.
• Tasks include standard rooming processes, giving immunizations, injections, and other medications as directed by the provider, and performing laboratory specimen collection as needed.
• Provide telephone support
• Facilitate communication between customers and providers
• Assist with prescription refills
• Perform x-ray duties as assigned if an individual has passed the x-ray operator exam.
• Perform phlebotomy duties
• Perform clinic laboratory tests
• Front desk/check-in support
• Ordering and stocking supplies
• Assistance with prior authorizations
• The team member is accountable for demonstrating proficiency in the skills outlined in the Company's Medical Assistant scope of Practice.
• The team member is accountable for maintaining skill proficiency, including improvement where necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list.
• Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals
• The Medical Assistant takes direction from the Physician, Provider, Registered Nurse, Clinic Supervisor, and Clinic Manager.
• Understands and follows principles and standards as outlined in our client's Corporate Code of Conduct
• Protects customer and team member privacy and only accesses customer- and/or team member-related information as needed to perform job duties
• Reports violations or areas of concern to supervisor or Corporate Compliance Officer via established methods of communication
• Recognizes and complies with legal, regulatory, accrediting, and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility
